Dispatcher

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides communication to drivers, clients and Supervisor staff via, email, phone call and/or text, assist customers by answering incoming phone lines, securing and verifying reservations and recording customer problems.

Primary Duties:

  • Record ending trip information from chauffeurs

  • Provide chauffeurs with route directions to specific pick-up and drop-off locations.

  • Assign and Cancel trips and follow-up runs, as designated to chauffeurs in an effective manner.

  • Manage the Rotation of vehicles through pre-designated locations such as Airports, Hotels, etc.

  • Bring issues associated with operations to the attention of the Communications’ Supervisor.

  • Answer incoming phone lines.

  • Securing and verifying client reservations when necessary

  • Scheduling

  • Building report(s) for billing, any trip issues, etc

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to receive and give directions to others.

  • Ability to conduct several tasks concurrently, while sitting for long periods of time.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to remain calm and effective during stressful and busy situations.

  • Basic knowledge and experience with using a computerized information database.

  • A friendly, courteous disposition

  • Experience within a courier or taxi dispatch environment.

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays in a 24/7 environment as needed

  • A fully functional home office location furnished with a modern computer, workspace desk, phone line and other office needs (MUST BE NOISE AND DETRACTION FREE OF YOUTH AND PETS)

  • Must have 1 year of Dispatch experience

  • Must possess basic math, computer, people, and leadership skills.

  • Must be able to think and act clearly and calmly under all circumstances.

 

Successful candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
